U.S. News & World Report unveiled February’s list of the Best Cars to Buy Now. To make U.S. News’ monthly list, a car has to meet three criteria: declining sales, strong manufacturer incentives and excellent scores in the U.S. News Best Cars Rankings.
“Automakers often offer major discounts on bad cars, but it’s possible to get a great deal on a top-rated vehicle, especially if you shop in less popular segments like small cars,” says Jamie Page Deaton, managing editor of U.S. News Best Cars. “You can get a no-interest financing deal on the Chevrolet Volt extended range EV, cash back deals combined with no-interest financing on the Mazda6 and Lincoln MKX, and a whopping $11,000 off the GMC Sierra pickup – all before you even start negotiating.”
This month, U.S. News Best Cars has identified seven cars, SUVs and trucks that not only offer hefty savings, but are also a pleasure to own.

The cars on the list of U.S. News Best Cars to Buy Now have an average year-over-year sales decline of more than 18.3 percent, which is well over the roughly 4 percent sales decline the industry as a whole saw in 2017. The vehicles on the Best Cars to Buy Now list also take advantage of rising incentive spending, with low interest rates and cash back offers. Finally, all cars on the list have an overall score of at least 8.1 (out of 10) in the U.S. News Best Cars Rankings.
