What’s Your Drive? New Cars Excite In NYC Automobile Show

2017 New York International Automobile Show: April 14-23

Ushering in the latest automotive trends, the 2017 New York International Auto Show will showcase an incredible collection of cutting-edge design and extraordinary innovation. More than four floors of displays from the world’s automakers will feature the newest vehicles and latest futuristic concept cars. Nearly 1,000 cars and trucks will be on display at North America’s first and largest-attended auto show dating back to 1900. Here are some of the awesome new models on sale this year:

Audi Q5
With the sporty performance of a sedan and versatility of an SUV, the all-new Audi Q5 features a new design combined with improved driving dynamics and a full suite of available driver assistance and advanced infotainment features. It is powered by a 2.0-liter TFSI® four-cylinder engine combined with an all-new seven-speed S tronic® dual-clutch transmission which results in a 5.9 second sprint from 0-60 mph.

BMW 5 Series
The seventh generation BMW 5 Series Sedan features enhanced dynamics, an impressive line-up of assistance systems and an incredible degree of connectivity. At launch it will come in either 530i or 540i trim. It is fitted as standard with a stereo camera, which teams up with optional radar and ultrasound sensors to monitor the area around the car. New features in the BMW 5 Series alongside the evasion aid and Crossing traffic warning are the Lane Change Assistant and Lane keeping assistant with active side collision protection.

Chevrolet Traverse
The all-new Traverse features a bold and refined design with seating for up to eight passengers. Premium interior and exterior design cues and new technologies are featured throughout, including available exclusive D-Optic headlamps that provide a natural daylight effect with a seamless light quality.

GMC Terrain
The boldly styled all-new Terrain offers greater refinement and versatility and is packed with more available advanced safety technologies than ever before. It comes with three all-new available turbocharged engines, including a new turbo-diesel matched to nine-speed automatic transmissions. GMC keeps passengers connected with 7- and available 8-inch-diagonal infotainment systems.

Honda Odyssey
Honda’s sleek, sophisticated and innovative new Odyssey minivan brings a host of new features and technologies including a uniquely versatile new Magic Slide™ second-row seat; new CabinWatch and CabinTalk technologies; new Display Audio touchscreen with Honda-developed OS; 4G LTE Wi-Fi connectivity; new Rear Entertainment System with streaming video; and Honda Sensing™ safety and driver-assistive technologies.

Kia Stinger
The all-new Kia Stinger is a five-seat fastback sports sedan available with multiple engine and drivetrain configurations and luxurious accommodations. Stinger’s interior is dedicated to the thrill of driving while cossetting the occupants in luxury. A color TFT screen between the gauges relays performance data such as cornering G-forces, lap times and engine-oil temperature navigation and diagnostics. Stinger will be powered by a 255 horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder or a 365 horsepower 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6.

Lexus LS
The all-new longer, lower and wider Lexus LS combines a radical new couple-like design with the spaciousness of a prestige sedan to provide exceptional levels of agility and comfort. For both high power and excellent fuel efficiency, Lexus designed an all-new 3.5-liter V6 engine specifically for the new LS with all-new twin turbos developed through the company’s F1 technology.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe
The new E-Class Coupe combines the beauty and classic virtues of a grand tourer with state-of-the-art technology that includes full smartphone integration, a widescreen cockpit and the latest driver assistance systems. A powerful engine and comfortable suspensions with selective damping guarantee a sporty and agile driving experience.

Nissan Rogue Sport
The Rogue Sport joins Nissan’s SUV lineup bringing safety technologies, fun-to-drive performance and affordability to young, urban compact sport utility buyers. The new model slots in just under Rogue offering 5-passenger space designed for conquering everyday urban adventures. The Rogue Sport has a 2.3-inch shorter wheelbase and a 12.1-inch shorter overall length than Rogue, helping make it more maneuverable in city traffic and an ideal size for tight city parking spaces.

Toyota Camry
With its aggressive exterior character lines and low center of gravity, the all-new Toyota Camry is about to ruffle some feathers. The eighth-generation sedan has gone through a total evolution, from a proven, dependable and safe car to one that also possesses a more exciting and emotional character, thanks to its newfound sporty performance and style.

Volvo V90 Wagon
With its combination of style and utility, the V90 wagon will be available with either Volvo’s T5 FWD, turbo-charged Drive-E engine or T6 AWD, turbo and super-charged powertrain in Inscription or R-Design trim. Leather seats, a Panoramic moonroof, Blind Spot Information System (BLIS), along with City Safety, which includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian, cyclist and large animal detection are also available.

Volkswagen Atlas
Built in Tennessee, the all-new seven-passenger Atlas offers impressive levels of technology and spaciousness. The Atlas arrives with a choice of two powertrains: the 2.0-liter turbocharged and direct-injection TSI® four cylinder with 238 horsepower or the available 3.6-liter VR6 engine with 280 horsepower. Both engines are mated to an eight-speed transmission to help maximize engine efficiency, and the Atlas can be configured either as front-wheel-drive or with available 4Motion all-wheel-drive in VR6 trims.

Alfa Romeo Stelvio
Alfa Romeo’s first SUV offers striking design, performance and technology. Powered by the 510 horsepower 2.9-litre V6 BiTurbo petrol engine inspired by Ferrari technologies, the all-wheel drive Stelvio using Torque Vectoring technology for the utmost control of traction, and the Integrated Brake System, which significantly reduces braking distance on any road surface. The new model will also be available with 280 horsepower 2.0-litre Turbo petrol engine with 8-speed automatic transmission.

Ford EcoSport
The EcoSport is a fun, capable, connected compact SUV that includes plenty of personalization options including 10 exterior color choices, seven ambient lighting options and four trim level offerings – S, SE, SES and Titanium. All models feature a swing-gate-style tailgate. Equipped with either a 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbocharged EcoBoost® or 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, EcoSport provides power and control. Drivers opting for the 2.0-liter engine get Ford’s Intelligent 4WD standard.

Land Rover Discovery
The fifth generation Land Rover Discovery combines a new exterior design with a highly versatile interior that’s capable of seating up to seven. The result is a revolutionary full-size SUV that brings new levels of sophistication, desirability, capability and versatility. The new Discovery is available with a powerful 254 horsepower 3.0-liter turbocharged V-6 diesel engine that delivers it from 0-60mph in just 7.7 seconds or a 3.0-liter V-6 Supercharged gas engine with 340 horsepower on tap.

MINI Countryman
The new Countryman is the biggest, most adventurous MINI ever and will be available in Cooper, Cooper S and the all new plug-in hybrid Cooper S E ALL4 at launch. For the first time, the MINI product line includes a model powered by both a three-cylinder MINI TwinPower Turbo Technology gasoline engine and an electric hybrid synchronous motor. With an option to plug in, the MINI Cooper S E Countryman ALL4 has a 3-cylinder gasoline engine that works in tandem with a powerful electric motor to produce a combined peak output of 221 horsepower, with the e-rear axle enabling all-season ALL4 traction.

Porsche Panamera
The new Porsche Panamera offers the performance of a genuine sports car and the comfort of a luxury sedan. Every detail of the new vehicle has been redeveloped. Its engines and transmissions have been redesigned, its chassis perfected, and its display and control concept reinterpreted for the future. The new Panamera also extends the borders between the world of ambitious sports cars and the world of comfortable cruising cars with highlights such as rear axle steering, active roll compensation and three-chamber air suspension.

Toyota C-HR
Stylish, athletic, and tech-filled, the all-new Toyota C-HR – or, Coupe High-Rider – represents a leap forward in design, manufacturing, and engineering for Toyota. The C-HR will be available in two grades at launch, XLE and XLE Premium, each equipped with a long list of standard premium features that includes 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control, supportive bucket seating, 7-inch audio display, and Toyota Safety Sense P™ (TSS-P). The C-HR’s engine, a punchy 2.0-liter four-cylinder producing 144 horsepower and 140 pound-feet of torque, sends all power to the front wheels via continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Jeep Compass
An all-new Jeep Compass compact SUV is designed to deliver unsurpassed 4×4 capability, world-class on-road driving dynamics, advanced fuel-efficient powertrains and premium styling. Powered by the fuel-efficient 2.4-liter Tigershark engine, Compass delivers up to 30 miles per gallon thanks to a class-exclusive nine-speed automatic transmission for 4×4 models.

Ford Expedition
All-new Ford Expedition offers flexible seating and storage solutions include second-row tip-and-slide seating that provides easy access to the third row even when child seats are installed. A new, more powerful 3.5-liter EcoBoost® engine and class-exclusive 10-speed automatic transmission are expected to deliver the best towing capability of any full-size SUV.

Hyundai GT
Hyundai’s all-new Elantra GT is lower, wider, and longer than the previous model. Shoppers can choose between two models, the efficient, smooth running GT, or the more powerful and fun-to-drive GT Sport. The efficient direct injection 2.0-liter makes an estimated 162 peak horsepower while the GT Sport gets the 1.6-liter turbo engine and enjoy an estimated 201 peak horsepower along with a broad band torque peak of 195 pound feet.
