Chateau Ste. Michelle Announces its 2017 Summer Concert Series

Chateau Ste. Michelle winery will kick off its 2017 Summer Concert Series on Thursday, June 1 with Elvis Costello as part of its year-long 50th Anniversary celebrations. Tickets for the winery’s concerts will go on sale Saturday, March 25th at 10 a.m. online at www.ticketmaster.com.

The “2017 Chateau Ste. Michelle Summer Concert Series” will offer 27 concerts spanning the range of pop, jazz, rock and blues from June 1st through September 15th. Each concert takes place in the winery’s picturesque outdoor amphitheatre with seating for 4,300. Acclaimed artists include, Elvis Costello, John Legend, The Moody Blues, Santana, Chris Isaak, Blondie & Garbage, Lyle Lovett & his Large Band, Lindsey Buckingham & Christine McVie, Natalie Merchant, 2CELLOS, Diana Krall, Kandace Springs, Marc Antoine, David Sanborn, Herb Alpert & Lani Hall, Colin James, John Mayall, Charlie Musselwhite, Buddy Guy, Allen Stone, Michael McDonald & Boz Scaggs, Bryan Ferry, ZZ Top & The Doobie Brothers, Chicago, Gipsy Kings, Australian Pink Floyd, Steve Winwood, Pink Martini and The Goo Goo Dolls.

Net proceeds from the annual concert series help fund Chateau Ste. Michelle’s charitable contributions program, which supports a broad range of non-profit organizations. In 2016, Chateau Ste. Michelle’s charitable contributions program benefited more than 400 non-profit organizations.

All shows feature general festival seating on the lawn, as well as reserved seating. Performances take place regardless of weather.

The Chateau Ste. Michelle wine shop is open before all concerts with wine and picnic items available for purchase, including the winery’s commemorative bottling of its 50th Anniversary Cabernet Sauvignon which pays tribute to the first 1967 vintage. In addition, an array of food vendors will offer a selection of menu items for sale in the amphitheatre. Concert-goers may also bring their own picnic baskets and non-alcoholic beverages. (The Washington State Liquor Control Board requires that all alcoholic beverages consumed on the winery grounds be purchased at the winery.)

Chateau Ste. Michelle, Washington State’s founding winery, is celebrating its 50th Anniversary year with the commemorative Cabernet bottling, special events, library wine releases, a visitor center expansion, its famous Summer Concert Series, and other programs throughout 2017.
