For Eyes, Ray-Ban sunglasses for life contest

With outdoor summer activities now in full swing, For Eyes, the friendly and fair-priced high-quality optical store, reminds the public how important it is to wear sunglasses to protect eyes from damaging ultraviolet (UV) rays. To support this cause and National Sunglasses Day on June 27, For Eyes is sponsoring a contest to give one winner Ray-Ban® sunglasses for life. UV rays become dangerous when they enter the visual field. Prolonged and repeated exposure to “bad” UV rays (UVA/ UVB) can cause severe eye disease such as cataracts, which can lead to major vision deterioration. “The deeper the rays penetrate the retina, the more serious the damage,” said For Eyes Vice President of Marketing Kelly Gomes. “Only good-quality sunglasses can reduce or eliminate the depth to which rays penetrate the eyes.”
