Krystal Brings the Heat with Spicy Chik

Krystal, famous for its iconic square hamburgers for nearly 85 years, is turning up the heat for summer. The Krystal Company announced today that it is bringing back its fan-favorite Spicy Chik™ sandwich for a limited time. The sandwich is offered a la carte or as part of the company’s Mix 5 value menu, which allows guests to choose their favorite five items for just $5, including famous Krystals, Chiks, Pups, Corn Pups, fries and beverages.

Krystal has offered the sandwich for limited periods since 2015 and brought it back in response to demand from Spicy Chik aficionados. The sandwich features a crisp chicken filet seasoned with a special blend of herbs and spices on the signature square bun that delivers just the right amount of heat in every bite. It will be available from lunch to close for a limited time throughout the summer beginning June 19.

“We know that our guests love our Spicy Chik,” said Alice Crowder, Vice President of Marketing at The Krystal Company. “For a lot of people, it represents one of the tastes of summer, and we’re proud to offer it again this season.”

In addition to re-introducing the Spicy Chik sandwich, Krystal restaurants across the country will debut Mini Mozz sticks that add another way for the whole family to satisfy those summertime cravings. Perfect as a side item or snack, Mini Mozz sticks feature bite-sized, gooey morsels of mozzarella coated with a seasoned breading and gently fried to perfection.

“For many of us, summer is about family fun,” Crowder continued. “Our summer menu has something fun for everyone. Whether our guests are looking for a meal, a snack or a treat, our new and limited-time items, along with our Mix 5 for $5 value menu, offer superior taste and quality without breaking the bank.”
