The New, Limited Time Juicy Fruit And Sweet Cream Topped Buttermilk Pancakes At IHOP® Restaurants

Bright, plump fruits bring taste buds out of hibernation and become the hero of the newest menu creation from the culinary team at IHOP® Restaurants. Spring Fling Pancakes combine vibrant flavors – like tart blackberries swirled with real cheesecake cream and strawberries layered over a sweet vanilla bean mousse – with airy, freshly-made buttermilk pancakes to create three distinctive dishes in a way that only the all-day breakfast champion can deliver. The latest unique offering from IHOP, Spring Fling Pancakes can be enjoyed at participating IHOP restaurants nationwide* starting April 10 and act as the centerpiece for the brand’s new 2017 menu, which launches this month and features select new signature, fan favorite and IHOP-exclusive foods and beverages.

Spring Fling Pancakes can be enjoyed as a full stack of pancakes or as part of a combo meal with the choice of eggs, bacon, sausage or ham, and more. Guests can choose from three seasonally inspired flavors, including:

•Blackberry Cheesecake: tart, crisp blackberries mingle with real cheesecake cream atop a stack of delicious buttermilk pancakes.

•Strawberry & Cream: a creamy vanilla bean mousse layered between fluffy buttermilk pancakes, creating the perfect base for glazed strawberries finished off with whipped topping.

•Sweet Peach Praline: hot buttermilk pancakes topped with a mix of peaches, candied pecans coated in a buttery brown sugar glaze, and a dollop of whipped topping.

“In creating the latest dishes for our new spring menu, we were inspired by the feeling that comes from throwing open the windows for the first time after winter and breathing in fresh, crisp air. The ingredients used in our Spring Fling Pancake recipes – juicy fruits bursting with sweetness, vanilla bean, real cream and buttered pecans – dance on your tongue and create this really beautiful combination of tastes and textures when paired with IHOP’s signature buttermilk pancakes,” said Chef Nevielle Panthaky, Vice President, Culinary at IHOP. “This menu trio perfectly showcases our pancake expertise and helps launch our new 2017 menu, which features foods and beverages made with bold flavors, seasonally-inspired ingredients and classic touches sure to please guests of all ages.”

For close to 60 years, IHOP has been bringing guests together to enjoy everyday moments with family and friends over made-to-order breakfast foods and more, like fluffy omelettes, golden French Toast, savory hickory smoked bacon and of course, world-famous Buttermilk Pancakes, served all day, every day. Spring Fling Pancakes will be available at IHOP restaurants across the country until June 4.
