Time Inc.’s PeopleTV – Live & Interactive Nightly Primetime Series, ‘The Chatter,’ Built Exclusively for Twitter Audience

You’ve read the news, we’re giving you the takes! Time Inc.’s (NYSE: TIME) next generation global entertainment network, PeopleTV, confirms plans to launch a new interactive, nightly series, The Chatter, which is built exclusively for the Twitter audience. Premiering on Monday, April 16 at 8PM ET, this half-hour series will deliver the most trending topics, newsiest stories and funniest reactions around the not-to-miss entertainment and celebrity moments of the day. The Chatter leverages Twitter’s dynamic platform and places the hyper-engaged audience at center stage. Viewer Tweets, questions and polls drive the hosted show to create the buzziest half-hour of the day.

The Chatter is the newest addition to PeopleTV’s programming slate for Twitter and is the latest program to be built exclusively by PeopleTV for the platform. On November 20, Twitter began streaming select PeopleTV programming and has grown to now include PeopleTV franchises and series including the award-winning “People NOW,” hosted by Jeremy Parsons and Andrea Boehlke; live breaking news, red carpet and marquee event coverage. Future PeopleTV programming on Twitter will include The Jess Cagle Interview, hosted by PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly’s Editorial Director featuring Hollywood’s biggest stars, as well as red carpet coverage for the upcoming Screen Actors Guild Awards.

“Our past collaborations with Twitter have been very successful and we’re excited to expand with The Chatter, PeopleTV’s first live prime-time series. This exclusive series was created specifically for Twitter’s highly-engaged audience to interact in real time about the day’s most topical pop culture moments,” said Rich Battista, CEO, Time Inc. “We take great pride in creating an interactive series that draws on People’s esteemed editorial talent and trusted reporting.”

“PeopleTV has offered our consumers entertainment and lifestyle programming from its highly-valued franchises,” said Anthony Noto, COO, Twitter. “We look forward to expanding our collaboration by providing Twitter’s entertainment enthusiasts with an all-new, exclusive, nightly program and expert coverage and analysis from marquee events.”

The Chatter will be available via @PeopleTV globally in an ad-supported environment on Twitter and connected devices. Premium advertising sponsorship and integration opportunities will exist and be promoted across both PeopleTV and Twitter platforms.
