Hari Mari Launches Flip Flop Together With Premium Glove Maker, Nokona

Hari Mari, the sandal brand known for infusing color and comfort into premium footwear, today announced the launch of its new collaboration flip flop with Nokona, the storied Texas company renowned for its hand-crafted leather baseball gloves.

Launching on Tuesday, March 28th, the collaboration marries Nokona’s plush, American top-grain baseball glove leather with Hari Mari’s quality flip flop construction to create a soft-to-the-touch leather flip flop that’s sure to be popular among fans of Nokona and baseball.

Founded in 1934 and worn by scores of little league and major league baseball players alike, including Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan, Nokona ball gloves are known for their leather quality and ageless durability, often making them a family keepsake passed between generations.

“It’s not every day you get the opportunity to partner with an eighty-two-year-old heritage baseball brand,” said Hari Mari founder, Jeremy Stewart. “We’re ecstatic, to say the least, to fuse Nokona’s American top-grain leather with our great flip flop, making what we feel is the softest leather flip flop ever. A perfect footwear complement for taking in a game at the ballpark this spring.”

The ‘Hari Mari x Nokona’ limited edition flip flop will come in three distinctive baseball glove leather colors: ‘Chocolate’ (dark brown), ‘Sandstone’ (honey) and ‘Generation’ (tan), each selling for $110 on HariMari.com when it launches on Tuesday, just ahead of Major League Baseball’s Opening Day weekend.

Further underscoring its baseball ties, the ‘Hari Mari x Nokona’ collaboration is partnering with All-Star pitcher Cole Hamels to help launch the limited edition flip flop line.

“I love baseball and I love flip flops, so does my family, and when the net result is supporting a great product in the Hari Mari – Nokona collaboration, it makes for a fun sidebar from the game,” said Hamels, who will be donating proceeds from his spokesperson role to his charitable organization, The Hamels Foundation, which helps fund educational programs for children across the U.S. and Africa.

“To have one of the greatest pitchers of our generation like Cole Hamels helping to launch a product that is so inherently tied to baseball heritage, is beyond special,” added Stewart.
