SpareFoot Doubles Metro Areas Offering Full-Service Storage

One year after introducing full-service storage on SpareFoot.com, the largest marketplace for storage, the company announced it has doubled the number of metro areas where this on-demand offering is available. Full-service storage is a convenient and affordable way to store belongings. A typical full-service storage company will pick up, store, and return or deliver your items on demand. It is now available in almost 50 markets across the U.S. through SpareFoot.com.

The growth of full-service storage speaks to the greater trend of the on-demand economy, which is attracting more than 22.4 million consumers annually and $57.6 billion in spending, according to a 2015 National Technology Readiness survey.

Over the last year SpareFoot has seen the highest demand for full-service storage during moving season (May-July) and in May and August when students move in and out of college towns.

“We’ve seen full-service storage do especially well in cities with a high percentage of singles, young professionals, college students, or a shortage of affordable housing,” said SpareFoot CEO Chuck Gordon.

Markets with the largest number of full-service storage reservations on SpareFoot.com are Los Angeles, New York, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Denver, Boston, Atlanta, Chicago, Seattle and San Diego.
