No Drip Inverted Umbrella from Mark Feldstein Wins 2017 International Housewares Association Global Innovation Award
Mark Feldstein & Associates, inc. (MFA), a Product Development Company and Importer of unique housewares, seasonal décor, and giftware, was recently awarded a 2017 International Housewares Association (IHA) “Best In Category” Global Innovation Award for its new No Drip Inverted Umbrella.
In its 18th year, the IHA Global Innovation Awards honors housewares product design excellence on products introduced at the annual March International Home & Housewares Show in Chicago. MFA’s No Drip Inverted Umbrella was awarded the “Best In Category” recognition for the Home Décor & Gifts Category. Over 500 products were entered into 13 award categories that were judged by a panel of experts, including designers, retailers and news media.
The No Drip Inverted Umbrella keeps consumers dry with its innovative inverted design that enables one to close it upward, trapping residual raindrops inside its double-layer water-repellant canopy, made from durable pongee cloth. By inverting the design, the wet side of the umbrella faces inward when closing it, exposing only the dry side to the user. In addition, unlike a standard umbrella, its unique construction enables one to open or close it through a slightly ajar car door or doorway, providing extra protection from precipitation when exiting or entering a vehicle or building.
“Not only does our No Drip Inverted Umbrella keep you dry when facing the weather elements outdoors, you’ll never get wet again when closing it indoors,” said Mark Feldstein, President, MFA. “We are very honored to receive recognition from the IHA with this highly coveted product innovation award.”
The sturdy No Drip Inverted Umbrella has passed Third Party Testing for wind speeds up to 24mph. A single button unlocks the umbrella for easy manual opening and closing.
Our No Drip Inverted Umbrella is the latest in a long tradition of innovative items from MFA, including the well-known Original Singing Bird Clock, and other sound clocks licensed by a variety of companies including Audubon™, Coca-Cola® Ford Motor Company, and Thomas Kinkade™ .
