Cocktail Recipes for Your Holiday Party
It’s that time of year when the pressure for the perfect holiday party and dinner celebration starts to build. To make consumers’ cocktail preparations easier for home entertaining, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits (“Southern Glazer’s”)—the largest North American wine and spirits distribution company— has asked David Nepove, Director of Mixology, to translate the latest trends into seasonal cocktail recipes that are simple to make, but sophisticated to sip.
Here are David’s custom crafted cocktail recipes to help home bartenders add class to their glass.
Winter Spiced Cosmo
- 1 ½ oz. Orange Vodka
- ½ oz. Ginger Liqueur
- ½ oz. Lime Juice
- ½ oz. Simple Syrup
- ½ oz. Pomegranate Juice
- Dash of Aromatic Bitters
Method: Shake and Strain into a cocktail glass.
Garnish: Floating lime wheel with grated nutmeg
Reindeer Potion
- 1 oz. Scotch
- 1 oz. Amaro
- ¼ oz. Maraschino Liqueur
- 2 dashes Aromatic Bitters
- Lemon Peel
Method: Stir and strain into a cocktail glass.
Bourbon Baked Apple
- 1 ½ oz. Bourbon
- 1 ½ oz. Cloudy Apple Juice
- 1 oz. Lemon Juice
- ¾ oz. Liquid Alchemist Apple Spiced Syrup
- 1 oz. Ginger Beer
Method: Shake all but ginger beer with ice, pour into a glass with ginger beer.
Garnish: Grated nutmeg
Soul Warmer
- 1 oz. Scotch
- ½ oz. Green Chartreuse
- ½ oz. Velvet Falernum
- ½ oz. Lemon Juice
- 3 oz. Hot Black Tea
- Honey
Method: Pour the lemon juice, honey and hot tea in a pre-heated tempered glass; stir until honey is dissolved. Then add the liquors. Stir and serve.
Garnish: lemon peel
Scottish S’more
- 1 ½ oz. Scotch
- 4 oz. Hot cocoa
- Vanilla flavored whipped cream
- Top with graham cracker
Method: Add hot water to pre-heat glass before adding ingredients.
